Camran MonsefCamran was born in November 1979, in Montreal, Canada. He moved to Vancouver with his family in 1986. He has one younger brother named Kevin, who was also born in Montreal, in 1984. Camran graduated from high school with an International Baccalaureate diploma in June 1997. He received his official lifeguarding certificate in 1996. Upon graduation, he received several scholarships including the Oustanding Student Initiative Scholarship from the University of British Columbia. He is currently studying political science at UBC. He speaks French, English, and Farsi fluently. He also studied Spanish for four years, Latin for three years and Italian for one year. Camran started Sport Kickboxing at Champions Martial Arts Academy in July 1993 at the age of 13. He recieved his Black Belt on April 9, 1999 at the age of 19. His personal interests include politics, history and anthropology. His campus involvements include being the President of the UBC Persian Club for the second consecutive year as well as being an active member fo the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Camran hopes to finish his Bachelor's degree and go on to Law School in the next few years. He also hopes to test for his first degree in Sport Kickboxing within the next year. He loves to travel and explore other cultures and societies around the world and hopes to continue to do so in the future. |
