Master Farid Dordar

Master Dordar started training in martial arts at the age of 12. With an electronics background and a love of martial arts, Master Dordar and his brother opened their first of many Martial Arts schools. In 1987, Master Dordar immigrated to Canada when the movie industry was gaining momentum.

He graduated from Vancouver Film School and began producing short films and instructional Martial Arts videos, including Sport Kickboxing Federation's "12 Steps to Success". He is a standing member of Actra and the British Columbia Performers Union, and over the past ten years, has acted and performed stunts in various shows such as the X-files and Outer Limits and in films such as Chuck Norris's Hit Man.

Master Dordar was a very successful competitor and received numerous titles ranging from Canadian Kickboxing Champion (1988), North American Kickboxing Champion (1988),and World Shootboxing Champion, Tokyo, Japan (1988) to World Free Style Champion (WKA - 1993). Never losing sight of Martial Arts, Master Dordar continued instructing at various recreation centres while making plans to open Champions Martial Arts Academy in 1992, one of the largest and most successful schools in North America today.During this time, Master Dordar also co-founded Sport Kickboxing Federation, a comprehensive system, developed to provide excitement in learning and instructing for all levels of Martial Arts, and fundamental rules for competition.

Today, Master Dordar is a fifth degree, Black Belt martial artist and is a Board Member of the Educational Funding Company, the largest Martial Arts Association in North America. With over 24 years experience as an instructor and martial artist, named "Best All Around Martial Artist of the Year" (WKA - 1994), and a World title, Master Dordar shows no signs of slowing down as he enters the millennium. With a passion for bringing out the best in others, Master Dordar is an active instructor at Champions Academy. "I love teaching Martial Arts; instructing is the most satisfying job I could have ever asked for, especially when I see results in students who continually make a positive impact in their family and community" says Master Dordar.

Master Dordar personally trains all instructors and examines each student upgrading to their next belt level. In addition, Master Dordar directs kickboxing.com and martial-arts.com, the two largest martial arts websites in the world, along with Radio Martial-Arts, an internationally syndicated radio program that interviews world class martial artists like Chuck Norris, Joe Lewis, and Bill Wallace.
